Paint Couture Embossing Medium
Featuring Micki Coles, mother of Paint Couture, again with another great video, of how to tint Paint Couture Embossing Medium with paint. Why do videos when she has done them for us. Thank you Micki.
Embossing Medium Our Embossing Medium is a smooth acrylic plaster designed to create a raised plaster look with stencils on furniture. It is used to make a raised stencil effect, creating a grass cloth effect, and to just fill in holes and large scratch lines in your work. No priming is needed with this prodcuct. Apply it with our Behr Trowel or a spatula. Embossing Medium dries to a flat finish and becomes very hard. It dries fast, does not shrink and can be painted, glazed and/or lacquered. It can be sanded and is easy to work with. As this material will stick to almost anything, be sure to remove all material from unwanted areas including your hands as soon as possible with warm soapy water. Keep away from your eyes.
As you can see the frame on the far left is one that the Embossing Medium has been tinted and applied through a stencil. The center one is the grass cloth effect and the one on the right is done with lace. These would make great stocking stuffers for Christmas. I know, it has just passed us up, but it will be here again before you can get turned around. Then you will be wondering, uh, I knew I should have done those cute frames.
If you would like to have a class where you do all 3 frames with embossing medium please contact me and we can set up a date. All you have to bring is you in some paint clothes.
Stop by Blue Suede Shoes Antique Mall give them a like and check for up coming classes.
