Once again I have to thank my friend from Redposie, for hooking me up with both of these sweet products.

Here are a few more facts about Pure Earth Paint-PEP
Matte Finish for Furniture, Walls & More…
Pure Earth Paint 95% of the time requires little or no sanding or priming, however, not all substrates are created equal. Remember to carefully examine the piece you are working on and from that you will be able to determine if repairs are needed or if you in fact have to sand before painting.
We recommend cleaning every piece of furniture before you start. Furniture oils (especially Old English Oil and Pledge) can sometimes ruin the best paint finish. We clean our furniture with denatured alcohol or a combination of white vinegar and water. This will loosen the old grime and olds from the furniture while providing “tooth” for paint to adhere to. Pledge has silicone as it’s main ingredient and it sometimes is difficult to paint over.
To use denatured alcohol, simple pour onto a clean rag and wipe over your furniture piece. I do this 2 times followed by ½ cup white vinegar to a gallon of water to rinse off any residue left over by the denatured alcohol lifting the grease and grime out of the furniture. Once this is done, let your furniture piece dry thoroughly.
Next you will want to do your repairs, sanding, hole filling, etc. You can use simple wood filler or PEP rough texture paste to fill in areas where the veneer had to be removed or nail holes.
Now you’re ready to paint!
PEP MINERAL PAINT:
1. Shake or stir your paint well before use.
2. Pour a little into a paint tray or onto a paper plate. A little paint goes a long way. Our paint appears thick but once your brush hits it, it melts like butter.
3. PEP can be rolled, brushed, or sprayed (thinning with approx. 10% water)
4. Let this coat dry depending on the humidity level it should dry in approximately 20 minutes
5. If needed, apply your second coat, let dry.
6. Topcoat or wax if desired.
SALTWASH, for a layered sun & salt air soaked look
You have to watch the video…this product it totally awesome.
Here are a couple of inspirational photos
Saltwash™ is a product, invented to create a unique weather worn, layered sun and salt air
soaked look in just two quick steps. Saltwash™ is made with real sea salt, so you will notice it dries quicker and adheres to almost any surface that takes paint. It was designed to be mixed into any brand or type of paint and used as the base coat. When mixed to the desired consistency, it can be applied to almost any surface that takes paint. Originally intended for furniture, Saltwash™ also has found to give a unique look to walls, flooring, metal and even plastic.
Saltwash™ is offered in two sizes, large tin at 48oz and a mini tin at 10oz. The large 48oz tin will extend to do about two large dressers, depending on the preferred consistency or mix into about a half a gallon of paint. The 10oz. mini tin is preferred for small projects, or are good for first introductions to Saltwash™.
Saltwash™ is a low voc product and all of the ingredients in it are considered safe in a working environment. We at Saltwash™ LLC., are very concerned with safety, so we recommend to always take precautions, and because Saltwash™ is a powder, we suggest wearing proper respiratory and eye protection when mixing and sanding.
Doesn’t it look like it is centuries old. I love this look.

These products, sometime next month, will also be listed in our store.
Classes will begin something in January 2016. Sooner if possible but that will depend on recovery time after surgery.
