Last Saturday we had a blow out class with some great gals.
We did an image transfer, with out modge podge, used gilding wax on ornate trim, and painting with distressing.
Amazing how you watch each person transform their own pieces with their own ideas. Each one of them was a think out of the box kinda gal. I love it when the teacher can learn something from the students. That is what makes it so much fun when everyone is open to trying something new, them as well, as me.
This class was doing an image transfer, the bird, painting and distressing a frame, choosing their own color and add gilding wax to ornate trim or furniture.
When doing the image transfer and as you will see in the photos the gal’s took it a step further with their designs and used the Paint Couture! gilding wax on the leaves and the birds.
When they painted the frames with Paint Couture, there was not one of the colors that they chose that I didn’t like. They all looked great.
There certainly was some concentration going on by the looks of some of the faces!
We forgot to take pictures of the frames, but they were awesome.
OH YES, we had a drawing for a the next class to be free to the lucky winner. The winner was Brooke!!!! YEA..
We used all Paint Couture products for this class.
Paint Courture is a low VOC, water-based 100% Acrylic resin paint. They are in the process of changing our paint to a Zero VOC and non-toxic formula, look for our new can labels in the marketing place marked with Zero VOC. It is a self priming, Décor, furniture and cabinet paint. Paint Couture has a great adhesion capability to existing painted or varnished surfaces. With Paint Couture there is usually no sanding and no priming. It is easy to apply, it is smooth and lays on very flat with little to no brush marks. The dry finish look is a matte, almost chalky finish. As it is a 100% Acrylic paint it becomes very hard and very durable. A Glaze or Lacquer topcoat is recommended but not required. Paint Couture is available in quarts and 8oz sizes. Clean up is easy with just soap and water.
